General details and layout
An exceptional sailing ketch, ideal for living aboard, with the benefits of  being  professionally refitted  in 2004 with all new electrics, plumbing, standing and  running rigging, navionics,  hatches, hull windows, toilets and sinks. All this contained  within  an immensely strong GRP older classic hull with a semi long keel makes this a superior sea friendly boat with a harbour friendly cock pit.
Built in  1983 by the World  famous and renowned  Pelle Petterson at  Askim, Sweden.

An enormously strong  and comfortable Maxi 130 sailing  ketch with high levels of generous stowage, headroom, an open feel below deck, and a wonderfully large and comfortable cockpit area. The hull construction and rigging are extremely robust and  to the best  Swedish quality of finish. This high quality is also to be seen in the thick  teak joinery and panelling below decks.

'INSHALA '  had been maintained to an excellent standard  by  two very fussy owners from new. Owned by Bob Kennedy for 17 years and Ray Johnson for  11years, both men are engineers and perfectionists.  We have had Inshala for the last 5 years.

In  1991 the hull was given osmosis protection according  to international Paints' specifications. There was no sign of osmosis at that time, and the hull has remained in perfect condition since.  In 2009/10, the old layers of  anti fouling  and the top surface of gel coat were ground off and replaced with 3 coats of new gel coat, sealer and  anti fouling.  Not  a shred of evidence was found of any  osmosis.

In 2015 a replacement engine  Volvo TMD 22 P-C was fitted and has only done 1500 hours
